The accounting program provides specialized training in financial reporting, auditing, tax, and cost accounting. Upon completion of all course and credit degree requirements, accounting majors are prepared to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination if they choose to do so. Our undergraduate and graduate accounting programs are the only ones in Rhode Island that hold the highly regarded, separate accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. Accounting, one of the largest undergraduate majors on the URI campus, has an extremely high job placement rate.
